Mary K. Yager is a wife, mother of three, and grandmother of eight, living in Northern Illinois, with her husband of 46 years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Mundelein College and Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University in Chicago. In 2000 she was a contributing author for a series of workbooks entitled Knowing Our Catholic Faith, published by Loyola Press.  Prior to retirement she worked as an Office Manager and a Director of Religious Education. While attending college and raising a family, she held many other part-time jobs: “Unit Secretary” in a hospital, copper Bobbin Winder, Toupee Tier, and Bookkeeper for a home-care service. Through all these experiences, people have expressed appreciation for her positive attitude, sense of humor, wise counsel, and deep spiritual influence. She has also served as a teacher and public speaker within the Catholic Diocese of Rockford. She and her husband are presently members of a non-profit outreach organization, His Working Volunteers.
